How we use your gifts

We operate on an annual budget of about $130,000. We do no deficit spending. Our overhead is quite low --13% for the last fiscal year.

The Board of Directors provides health insurance and a small housing allowance to the full-time Director. No salaries are paid. No other general or designated gifts are applied to anything except actual program expenses and operating costs. Our offices are provided free, as is internet service. Board members receive no stipends, and pay all their own expenses. Our Secretary/Treasurer and Webmaster both serve as a ministry, and receive no pay or benefits. Your gifts cannot go to a more efficient ministry.

If you are holding out for a stewardship gold mine, you're looking at it.

Here are the programs your gifts help make possible:

1. Support ministries in Southeast Asia. Primary right now is the boat project. Currently, approximately half of our resources and energies are being applied to this program. Later (early 2010), when the boat and water purification system are in full use, the ratio will shift to a lower percentage and we will apply these resources to other projects.

   

2. Audio Bible materials account for about 25% of our funds. Currently we are recording the New Testament in a second minority language. The completion of this project will most likely extend into spring 2010. When it is completed, that audio New testament will be made available worldwide as a free download, as are the northern- and southern-dialect recordings of the New Testament in Vietnamese. We also continue to develop audio lessons for the solar powered audio players.

3. Projects in the Mekong Delta area round out our program and receive the remaining 25% of our monies. These include support for the orphans where baby The-Anh lives, the college scholarship grants, a local family support ministry, and elementary school supplies for needy children.

New projects that are appropriate to our charter, values and key strategies are regularly considered, and are adopted as we have funds and opportunity.
